What color eyeshadow should I use?

I have very dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, fair skin. I'm Asian, but am often mistaken for a latina.

I'm not into "loud" makeup, so I often go for brown eyeshadows and other earth tones... but I'm bored and would like to try something new.

Specific brands / shades appreciated! Thanks!

hey. i have the same problem. i also go for brown eyeshadows or something neutral. I can never use those colors that are in style like: purple, blue, green, yelloow. you just have to play with makeup..trial and error. Maybe go to sephora and spend sometime there to try on samples and find colors that would match you. you can also ask for assistance from the professionals there. I really love buying eyeshadows from mac make up and benefit. macy's and sephora sells benefit makeup. my two favorite eye shadows i use now from mac makeup are: STAR VIOLET and TRAX...maybe you can go look at it online or in the store. i hope my answer helped. Start out with soft shades of pink. That would compliment your skin tones very well. And, this valentines, VIOLET IS THE NEW RED! Try soft shades of violet this winter, that lookes good on anybody's skin tone if you do it right. Look in magazines too, they have suggestions too!
