Anyway, her and I have crushes on each other, because I've written her notes telling her I want to get to know her better. However, things are going VERY slowly over 2-3 weeks. I know she's shy, but I want to speed things up, because I'm a rather impatient person.

I used to be a very shy person too, so I know how it can be, but what should I do to break her shell more? I've tried to call her a couple times (she gave me her number twice, because I got the wrong one first) but she doesn't pick up the phone. She didn't respond to the email I sent her recently, although she gave me her email.

Well, she could be just being nice and doesn't reciprocate your feelings,but doesn't want to tell you that. Plus if she comes from a strict family they may not allow her to speak to boys over the phone. Asian can be very strict if they are traditional. Just be direct and ask her if she would like to go out with you or to help her not feel so shy do go out as a group.
