Are Native Americans and Asians similiar to eachother?

Agree or Disagree. Please State why.

Many Native Americans are frequently mistaken for Asian origin. Asian and Native American's both share characteristics, such as, fine straight black hair or semi-slanted dark eyes. Native American and Eurasian features are amazingly similar, In fact Chinese-French actress Sandrine Holt, played a Native American princess in Pocohontas The Legend (1995). Another Central Asian public icon is Siberian model Irina Pantaeva, whom is often mistake for Chinese descent. However, Irina, is a native Inuit of Russia's Siberian territory. Back in history, (over 10,000 years ago), an ice bridge, where Alaska now is, connected Asia and North America. People from Asia walked over and spread out across the area known as the Americas, including Canada, the United States, and Central and South America.

Hmm... lets see here....

The most deviated people out there from original origins are the (ironically) aboriginals of Australia and the original natives of South America.

Humanity originated in southern Africa... headed up north to the rest of Africa, spread north-east through the "middle-east" ... and diverged there. Some went west toward Europe while some went east and north, spreading out into Asia and eventually down into Indonesia (and from there to Australia). Some small portion of those people found their way up into Siberia... crossed over the land-bridge into Alaska ... and spread from there further east and south... gradually down through North America, Middle America and eventually South America.

So... of course I agree...

You'll find that Alaskans and Siberians look understandably similar. "Native Americans" and those Inuits from further over eastern Canada look a little different.... as understandably Chinese look a little different to Mongolians. Mexicans are naturally a little different again, but still bare vague similarities to Indians... and... well... beyond that we're all basically human.

But then again, even if humans hadn't gone that way, I'd still say the similarity was there. From the perspective of a cat, all humans probably look much the same... (and while not technically a cat, I tend to adopt a more feline perspective).

Are Native Americans and Asians similiar to eachother?

yes

Are Native Americans and Asians similiar to eachother?

So I'm a little curious.

Why did you ask this question?

It seems you have answered it yourself.

The answer, of course, is "yes".

.

Are Native Americans and Asians similiar to eachother?

Yes indeed, the indians in all America, north, central and south, are decendants from the tibes that crossed the Bering Straits during the glacial age a few of thousands of years ago when the strait was frozen and this tribes, that were nomads crossed the same folloing the tracks of the animals they used to hunt.

Are Native Americans and Asians similiar to eachother?

Some people say that both Native Americans and Asians share the same DNA.

Are Native Americans and Asians similiar to eachother?

Yes. As you've already stated they are descendants of people who crossed the Bering Strait. So genetically there is a connection but culturally there is none.

Are Native Americans and Asians similiar to eachother?

No.

Are Native Americans and Asians similiar to eachother?

Agree, the Native Americans came from Sibera, China, and Japan. Many of the native americans have carried on Asian traits such as black hair and slanted eyes. I myself, i'm part Native American. And I have very slanted eyes.

Are Native Americans and Asians similiar to eachother?

I was watching this show on TV, it was for Black History Month, %26amp; they took a genitic test to see how much of what ever race famous succesful Black people( exmple:Oprah she was on there) had in them, %26amp; they were saying how Native Americans have a little asian in them. But they were testing for how much African, European, %26amp; Native American, Asian genes the had in them.

So yeah Native Americans have some Asian genes.

Are Native Americans and Asians similiar to eachother?

No they are not.

First off, Native people did NOT cross the imaginary "Bering Straight Land Bridge!" That is only a theory and has been proven false to my satisfaction.

If you tell a traditional Native person that they are of Asian ancestory or "look" Asian or came from Asia they will probably take it as an insult!

Native people believe they were created in the Americas. The oral tradition tells us as much. The long and well founded history of the different Native nations ALL speak of being created in the Americas and NOT from Asia. There is no talk of the imaginary land bridge.

Even the historians are now looking at other possiblities such as people coming over riding currents on boats because the Land Bridge Theory just doesn't hold up when it is challenged.

Yes, sometimes Asian women play Native women but it is clear to Native people anyways when that happens. I think it's ridiculous also because there are many talented Native actresses out there. Irene Bedard and Shiela Toulouse are my favorites.

Native people and Asian people are not similar to each other except for the black straight hair. They are totally different cultures that vary in many ways.

Listen to the traditional music, look at the traditional clothing and the languages aren't anywhere near each other!

Also, calling Native American stories "myths" is very insulting. These stories and prophecies are thought of as TRUE. They really happened. The word "myth" has the connotation of being made up. Would you call the stories in the bible myths? One might do that but Christians would immediately protest! You shouldn't call Native stories myths either.

A GREAT book to read on the subject is 'Red Earth White Lies' by Vine Deloria jr.

In response to "Tank?" All Native stories agree with the creation being in the Americas so in response to why or how do they differ and which one is right.... they're all right because they pretty much agree.

Spiritual Leader Eddie Benton Banai says, "All creation stories are true."

Also, just because a story is oral, it doesn't make it any less valid. In fact, I find it to be more trustworthy than what scientists have told us about the so called Bering Straight THEORY. That theory has changed so much over the years.... and it will continue to change until they finally give up on it.

Also, to assure that I am not "ignoring" archeological evidence, take a look at it. The archeological evidence continually proves the B.S. Theory wrong! :) That's why they have to constantly change this theory.
