My 11 year old sister is now depressed. You know why? Because she came home saying that she's one of the only girls in her grade that doesn't have a boyfriend. We adopted her when she was 3 and we are very close. She's asian. She said that she is ugly and wishes that she looked more like me. (I have blonde hair.) Now I feel really bad for her. Do you guys like have a problem with asian girls? Or do you just like blonde girls? She also said that the girls who have all the popular boyfriends are the blonde girls.

Most guys love asian girls once they get into middle school! Trust me i'd know!!!!!!! It seems like in grade school the blondes are the queen but once they get older hair color doesn't matter. Guy just need to grow up and realize they are wrong.

there is nothing wrong with your sister.us guys are just......you know.hair color has lil to do with what we like.boys her age are dumb.matter of fact all guys are dumb.i know im dumb but in a good way(if possible).tell her dont worry bout it.do something for her to cheer her up.take her shopping or get her a makeover,not that she needs it,but to make her feel better.there has to be something those other girl dont have that she can have.

That is probably just the popular look in your community. Your sister is still young and has lots of time to grow up and have a boyfriend. Maybe you could figure out some fun ways to share your knowledge on asian culture/aspects in your community. She should be able to look at herself as a beuatiful unique individual and that is a shame that the kids in her class are so ignorant about her differences. Work with her to figure out ways to make her feel beautiful for who she is. Good luck!

Once your sister gets into high school, it will be a completely different world. I know there are SEVERAL guys at my school with asian fetishes and are only interested in asian girls...
For now all you can really do is be there for her, provide moral support. Put emphasis on the fact that at her age, having a boyfriend should be the least of her concerns. Help her find some new hobbies to keep her mind off of boys for as much as possible, and just be there for her. Good luck, you really do sound like a good sister.

until boys grow up most of them only go for blondes...but after that, they see that asians can be really beautiful, the most beautiful girl in my year is thai.. (i'm in yr 7). I felt the same thing she was going thru in year 5 in my old school, everyone dated the pretty skinny blonde girls. you are going to have to convince her that she doesnt need a boyfriend. and she doesn't, it may feel like shes the only 11 year old in the world without a boyfriend, but that would only make her the smartest 11 year old in the world! and those boys who dont like asians are not worth going out with...
